Tinder Targets Single Wedding-Goers

Tinder Is Helping Singles Find Wedding Dates With New ‘Plus One’ Feature

Finding a wedding date is hard enough with having to make sure your date is both eligible and charming, but Tinder is here to save the day!

Tinder announced on Thursday that it will be introducing its ‘Plus One’ feature, where users can signal that they are looking for, or would be willing to be, a plus one. This addition follows many other dating apps trying to expand their roster of options for hopeful singles, including Bumble’sBFF’ and ‘Bizz’ features.

Tinder’s nifty new ‘Plus One’ feature can be found on the app’s Explore section, which offers users more opportunities to find matches with similar interests and passions. Plus, its introduction has come at a great time, considering mentions of plus ones in bios have gone up by 45% since the beginning of the year.

Alongside this advancement, Tinder is partnering with WeddingWire: a wedding planning resource company, assisting individuals in covering the extensive cost associated with the wedding season with its Wedding Grant giveaway. One hundred eligible Tinder users who join the program will receive $460 to cover all wedding expenses.
