Watch Out, A ‘Communities’ Invite Could Land In Your DMs
The news of Twitter’s interest-focused ‘Communities’ feature has circulated, but clarification on just how you join these Facebook ‘Groups’-esque clusters is not yet widely known.
To clarify, these ‘Communities’ are, “for now”, invite-only and (according to Twitter’s recent tweet) “come through your DMs”. For those still a little confused, check out the video below:

Currently, Android users aren’t able to to join in on the new Twitter craze, but the social media giant has promised that that’s soon going to change.
if you're on Android, we feel you. soon you'll be able to join and Tweet in the Communities you're invited to! pic.twitter.com/meTy23G9Ql

Not only is Twitter working to make these ‘Communities’ more inclusive, allowing Android users in on this streamlined way to discover content tailored to your specific interests, but has hinted that the invite-only characteristic is only temporary. As stated by Twitter, “Communities are just invite-only for now, but we’re working on ways for people to discover and join Communities they want to be a part of.”
Keep an eye out, as an invite could pop up in your DMs at any time.
