Twitter Teases Potential Features for New Business Accounts

Twitter Seeks User Advice on Upcoming Changes

Last month, Twitter hinted at its creation of business profiles, which, if launched, would include additional business information and exclusive features.

The new business profile, in it’s current proposed form, would look like the mock-up shared by social media expert, Matt Navarra:

It would include the following features:

  • Verification by default
  • A business category
  • A new panel for business information (like location, hours of operation, etc.)
  • A new business profile badge to signify that it is an official, recognised business presence

But now, Twitter is allowing the public to have a say – the company is doing a survey, asking the a selection of users rate and slate the proposed features. Here are a handful that are under careful consideration:

  1. Product showcase panel
  2. Link to direct contact option
  3. Content showcase
  4. App Store links
  5. Image gallery
  6. Showcase of pinned tweets
  7. Customer reviews

Twitter is also exploring potential new profile badge types and new ‘Automated Account’ badges to signify bot profiles.

Currently, Twitter has no set plans for the launch of its new business profiles. However, stay tuned, as all signs point towards it being soon. Which features would you pick?
