This campaign had people attending events around the United States and replicating the film’s eerie, iconic smile. The Detective Strategy

Nicolas Cage is one of the producers of the upcoming horror film Longlegs. The film’s innovative marketing campaign has horror movie fans excited and eager to know more about the movie. In an era where trailers tend to reveal too much, which especially has an impact when a film relies on jump-scares, Longlegs went in a completely different direction. The campaign is both simple and captivating, immersing the audience in the role of a detective. It features a series of photographs depicting various murders, as if captured by a detective’s camera. Alongside it is a series of short notes, or clues that give the audience initial information about the case without revealing anything else about the movie.

The Ring Doorbell Strategy

The movie The Strangers employed a bold and unique promotional strategy. They used Ring Doorbell footage showing the three antagonists showing up on people’s front porch across the US, a chilling tactic that sparked widespread discussion on social media. The film’s premiere was equally innovative and memorable. On the red carpet, the strangers were seen slowly breaking down the wall behind the actors, scaring all of them and once again creating a lot of conversation on social media.
