LinkedIn Launches Stories
LinkedIn has launched LinkedIn stories worldwide. This is a new opportunity for individuals and company pages to post short form videos and photos via the mobile app.
What does this look? Well following the footsteps of Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, members can post content up to 20 seconds offering a casual way to share news and updates. It has a 24 hours window and can allow pages to share short form content utilising stickers and copies similarly to how you would do on other platforms.
According to Tom Pepper, head of marketing solutions UK, Ireland & Israel at LinkedIn, “LinkedIn Stories offers an authentic and visual way for them to do so.“
Pepper also added “ We believe Stories can become an integral part of brands’ communication strategies. My advice to any brands looking to experiment with Stories is – just do it! The great thing about Stories is that they don’t have to be slick or overproduced – as long as they are authentic and match your brand and audience.”
Stories have become a fundamental feature on Instagram and Facebook with many people preferring stories over regular content this is a great opportunity for users to utilise stories on LinkedIn to maximize engagement.
